Description: Gene is a 100% barrel fermented, dark wild ale with fifteen different berries. We used a blend of pinot noir yeast, two brettanomyces strains, and pediococcus for a slightly tart, vinous character. Fermented and aged in red wine barrels with raspberry, blackberry, blueberry, strawberry, goji berry, marionberry, lingonberry, elderberry, bilberry, boysenberry, red huckleberry, champagne currant, sloe berry, acai, and golden berry, this one of a kind ale has rich fruit flavors, deep red wine notes, and a dry oak finish.
