Description: The term muddle derives from the Middle Dutch word modden, which means to dabble in mud. Later in Middle English it became moddelen, which means to wallow in mud. What happened on the journey across the North Sea, to lead to such a slide? How did it descend from its happy Dutch origin to the bleak nihilistic take of the Middle English? Once upon a time people were happy to dabble in mud, not take it too seriously, to dip their feet in it and playfully throw it at their loved ones. It was never capable of beating them! But then the middle English came along, and let the mud rise around them thick and fast, consuming them, enveloping their bodies from the ankle upwards, until suddenly they couldn’t use their legs, then their arms, then their mouths, eyes, ears. Lost to the muddle of history. US style NEIPA 7%. Golden Promise base with oats. Dry hopped with Citra, Simcoe, Ekuanot and Columbus. Straw coloured with a heavy haze. Aroma of tropical and stone fruit with subtle pine notes. Low bitterness with a creamy, medium body.
